A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for 11-month-old Maverick Young, an infant who authorities believe was abducted in Odessa, Texas, prompting an urgent search that could extend across multiple states. Investigators say the child may be traveling out of Texas following an alleged custodial abduction, and law enforcement agencies are asking the public to remain vigilant as the investigation continues.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Ector County Sheriff’s Office, Maverick Young was last seen on June 30 at approximately 10:00 a.m. in the 7000 block of West Westmoor Road in Odessa. Authorities describe Maverick as a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing about 3 feet tall and weighing approximately 26 pounds. Investigators believe the infant was taken under circumstances that placed him in immediate danger, leading officials to activate the AMBER Alert system.

Law enforcement officials have identified 20-year-old Tinley Young as the suspect in the case. She is described as a white female with brown hair and blue eyes, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. According to investigators, the case stems from a child custody dispute. Authorities say Maverick was supposed to be dropped off at his father’s home in Arkansas, but he never arrived. As a result, the Ector County Sheriff’s Office has filed a kidnapping charge against Tinley Young and believes she may still have the child in her custody.

Because the child may have crossed state lines, authorities are treating the investigation with heightened urgency. The possibility that the suspect could be traveling toward another state has prompted law enforcement agencies to share the alert widely, encouraging drivers, travelers, hotel employees, and members of the public to report any possible sightings immediately. Although officials have not publicly confirmed the suspect’s current location or vehicle information, they emphasize that every lead is being aggressively pursued.

AMBER Alerts are reserved for the most serious child abduction cases where investigators believe a child faces an imminent threat of serious bodily harm or death. The system rapidly distributes information through highway message boards, television and radio broadcasts, mobile devices, and law enforcement networks in hopes of generating leads that can safely recover the missing child.

Officials continue to urge anyone who believes they have seen Maverick Young or Tinley Young not to approach them directly. Instead, witnesses should immediately call 911 or contact the Ector County Sheriff’s Office, which is coordinating the investigation. Authorities stress that even seemingly insignificant information could prove critical in locating the infant safely.

The case remains an active and developing investigation. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence, follow tips, and work alongside state and federal partners to locate Maverick as quickly as possible. Family members and investigators remain hopeful that increased public awareness generated by the AMBER Alert will lead to the child’s safe recovery.

Anyone with information regarding Maverick Young’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Ector County Sheriff’s Office immediately or dial 911. As the search continues, authorities ask the public to monitor official updates from the Texas Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement agencies for the latest developments.
