Nateal Campbell, Mother of NFL Star Calais Campbell, Identified as Victim in Buckhead Murder Investigation – Son Ciarre Taken Into Custody

A tragic homicide investigation in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood has shaken the family of NFL veteran Calais Campbell after authorities identified 71-year-old Nateal Campbell as the victim. Police have confirmed that her son, Ciarre Campbell, was taken into custody at the scene and has since been charged in connection with her death as investigators continue working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a residence on Roswell Road Tuesday afternoon after concerned family members requested a welfare check. Authorities later identified the man taken into custody as 41-year-old Ciarre Campbell, the brother of Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell. Fulton County Jail records indicate that Ciarre Campbell has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
